Ready for a Field Trip?
It can be hard to make queer friends in the city. While there are always the bars and the apps, they’re not necessarily everyone’s scene. Field Trip is a monthly hangout for MAX community members – each month, we pick a location or an activity (ranging from free to low cost) where you can come and make friends while exploring the city. With activities like hiking trips, museum visits, bowling, and more, Field Trip is a way to meet people and (hopefully) make lasting friendships.

Program information
Field Trip activities can look like a lot of different things! Some possible trips may include trips to monuments or scenic areas of the city such as lakes or beaches, sports games, festivals, cafe trips, and more! If you have any ideas for potential trips, please feel free to let us know in the sign-up form above.
Expensive trips? In this economy!? We’re on the same page - Field Trip excursions will be relatively inexpensive, ranging from completely free to low cost.
Field Trip is primarily for queer men, non-binary people and trans people, but all are welcome - the more the merrier!
It can be a bit intimidating doing new things by yourself, but don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Field Trip is an opportunity to make new friends, so we’ll be sure to make a few introductions when you arrive.
