The article highlights the barriers experienced by trans and gender diverse folks in the healthcare system through analyzing the disparities between primary care and trans competent providers. The findings outline the systemic issues of lack of knowledgeable physicians and intersectional impacts, calling for the provision of additional education for healthcare providers on how to give affirming and intersectional care to all patients.
