This document provides a host of information regarding gender affirmative practice. Includes relevant statistics, terminology, social determinants of health and cultural context. Guides providers through using gender affirmative language and pronouns, and gender-neutral autonomy terminology. It also gives resources to engage with for next steps in continuing the learning process.

In collaboration with MAX Ottawa, the Centretown Community Health Center is offering operational resources to help with the rapid increase of the provision of gender affirming care in the community. Due to the nature of some resources, they are restricted to healthcare providers, requiring registration to access. Once granted access, you will be able to engage with a range of templates and intake stamps to assist with various patient encounters.
