Disarranged Marriage – Fringe Festival
August 26 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Disarranged Marriage written and directed by Jocelyn Deng – Ottawa Fringe Festival
Rory is content with his life – engaged to a runaway scholar (she doesn’t know), his parents no longer bother him with blind dates and he doesn’t actually have to deal with a pesky fiancée. Serenade’s unexpected return makes plans go awry. The two must face aspects of their respective lives they’d rather forget. Disarranged Marriage is about a certain type of loneliness, the nagging feeling of inadequacy. Created by a queer 2nd generation Chinese-Canadian, performed by a queer and/or POC cast & crew, we invite you to a world unashamed of its flaws and made with love.
